The HSC Foundation has established the COVID-19 Crisis Response Fund to support and protect frontline health care workers and the patients in their care at HSC Winnipeg, Manitoba’s largest hospital.
As the pandemic evolves and uncertainty persists, we are rallying together to show our gratitude for the dedication and skill of HSC’s frontline personnel, now and always.
Funds In Action
Thanks to donations from donors, the HSC Foundation will continue to provide support to HSC frontline health care workers. To give a few examples as to where funds have been directed to:
- Acquire iPads for use in the ICU for families to communicate with their loved ones.
-Fund “Feeding the Frontlines”, in partnership with Earls Restaurants and McNaught Cadillac Buick GMC. To date we have served 11,200 complimentary meals to frontline health care workers.
- Fund the research and development required to bring an HSC-designed mask to the frontlines. Mask is currently in testing, gearing up for production in anticipation of regulatory approval.
The Foundation is always in regular communication with hospital leadership to learn about where donations are needed most. COVID-19 will be with us in some form until a vaccine is developed. We will continue to accept donations to our Fund so we are able to respond to the needs at HSC, right now and in the future.
